RICH Energy OMG Racing's RICH Club in the paddock at Oulton Park was the venue for this fascinating chat with one half of the Chasin' the Racin' duo, Dom Herbertson. The Geordie lumberjack was on sparkling form as we discuss the TT, Road Racing in general and the BSB paddock. The biggest discussion point was a peacock... he talked about it when we had the chat with Chrissy alongside him and again in this one and it never gets old and still nobody believes him!
Matt Roberts is the face of Eurosport's motorcycle racing coverage along with Isle of Man TT races and a dabble at Oliver's Mount. We chat about the current situation in the sport along with professional levels and where the talent lays. Matt brings a little extra dimension to the chat and almost makes Dave feel like a star-struck fan. We keep it together, just, as the sidecars try and drown us out yet again...
It's interesting to chat to Dom as, despite being around bikes all his life, he only threw his leg over one at the age of 21. By that age most of the competition he faces in the British paddock had been riding for ten years or more so it's a real baptism of fire to join the massed ranks of the British Supersport Championship and more than a little eye-opener, however, in Dom's inimitable style, he just shrugs off the pressure and ploughs his own furrow.
